Allison holds a PhD in Politics from Queen’s University Belfast.
Her PhD focuses on discursive legitimisation of the Colombian peace process (2012-2016), an MA in Comparative Ethnic Conflict, a BA in Spanish, and a BA in International Relations.
She currently works in learning development in higher education, specialising in academic skills support and development.
She is also a writer, focusing on short stories, food and culture, and ex-pat life as an American in Belfast. In her free time, you can find her practicing yoga, tackling cooking projects and making as much from scratch as possible, learning Irish, writing, and reading multiple books at once.
