Our feedback reports are ideal if you’re considering taking your writing further and want a professional assessment of a short piece of writing (up to 3,000 words).

We’ll look at your submission in terms of your ideas, your writing style, and the aspects of the craft, including characterisation, setting, point of view and plot. Your report will also focus on helping you understand the potential of your writing, highlight areas for development, and offer suggestions for next steps.

Things to know

: Our feedback reports are designed for writers who have taken one of our shorter courses. They’re ideal if you’re considering taking your writing further and want a detailed review of a short piece of writing (up to 3,000 words) in order to understand its potential and where to go next.

It’s suitable if you:

Have written a short story or the start of a novel and would like a more detailed, one-to-one critique of your work by an experienced reviewer

Are unsure what to do now with your writing and want guidance on next steps to take

Are considering taking an intermediate or advanced level course — and want to assess if you’re ready to move to the next level

Need honest feedback from a supportive reviewer who understands your challenges because they once faced them themselves

Your report looks at your submission in terms of your ideas, your writing style, and the aspects of the craft you have worked on through the course, including characterisation, setting, POV and plot, plus advice areas for development and potential next steps.
